Biography
Born in 1974 in Skopje, North Macedonia, Milan Andov is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of human existence.
Educated at the Secondary School of Applied Arts “Lazar Lichenoski” and later graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in graphic techniques, he developed a distinctive artistic language rooted in expressive portraiture and profound human observation.
His paintings invite viewers into a space of reflection, confronting themes of identity, vulnerability, transformation, and the fragility of the human condition — work where, in his own words, the soul and mindful interpretations of emotion leap from the canvas and draw you into the depths of the composition.
Exhibitions and awards
Throughout his career, Andov has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions across North Macedonia and internationally, including Berlin, London, Yerevan, and Abu Dhabi. His artistic achievements have been recognized through numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Osten Award and the Lazar Lichenoski Award.
